In autumn, the beautifully coloured deciduous forests in the vicinity invite you for taking long walks. Especially the Luesswald, close to the nearby village of Unterluess, is a place where you should go to in order to experience the fascinating atmosphere of the 8,000 acre forest.

In wintertime, the landscape of the heather has its very own charm. Around the Misselhorner Heide (Misselhorner heath) is a loipe which invites you for cross-country skiing. But also walking tours through the clear winter air will give you exclusive recreation.
